Throwback to a timeless classic we built around 35 years ago on Pinelands Road in Sunnybank.
This brick-and-tile beauty screams 1980's architecture, but at the time, it was a true statement of modern design and innovation!
In line with Ownit Homes’ enduring commitment to quality and contemporary living, this home was packed full of standout features — an impressive open void with soaring ceilings and exposed beams, statement timber staircase, exposed brick feature wall, and we can't go past the internal garden! The bathroom, complete with a step-up bath and a stylish timber accent wall, remain a standout even today.
The home certainly was ahead of its time with curved external feature walls and a three car garage - a rare inclusion with homes of the era only having one or two garages.
Standing strong to this day, the original owners lived in the home until selling in recent years, and after the build forged a lifelong friendship with the founders of Ownit Homes.
Built during a challenging period for Queensland’s construction industry, this $375,000 project played a vital role in Ownit Homes’ continued success. It helped us navigate the tough economic climate of the 1980s and 1990s, laying the foundation for the strong, debt-free and trusted home builder we are today.
