Our 8 Steps of Building will ensure that owners like you are involved at every critical stage of construction. It’s a chance for you to see the quality materials and disciplined approach to construction that go into the creation of your new home. It’s also a chance for you to enjoy the rare thrilling experience of watching what was once just an idea, a notion, a dream, take shape. But the process doesn’t stop with construction. It goes well beyond the time that you move into your new home to make sure that living in your home is more delightful than you could possibly have imagined.
STEP 1. Pre-construction Meeting, Deposit and Plan Drawing
Meeting your Building Consultant, choosing your design and making the modifications to your chosen design is one of the first steps to creating your dream home. Neatly arranged and prepared, your tender & plans are drawn up and the initial site visits are organised to be done.
STEP 2. Contract Signing
After all customizing decisions on your new home have been made, your Contract Documentation will be drawn up and signed with the balance of the deposit being paid. At this stage, you will be contacted by our Interior Designer to make an appointment for your colour selections in our ‘Dream Studio’.
STEP 3. Building Approval
Drawings and submitted to our Council Certifiers for Building Approval.
STEP 4. Colour Selection
Now for the fun part. Whilst your plan is with Council getting certified, you will meet with our Interior Designer in our ‘Dream Studio’ to pick all things design.
STEP 5. Specifications
After all colour and specification decisions on your new home have been made, the Building Specifications document will be drawn up and signed. At this stage, your Building Approval is well on the way to being received from our Council Certifiers.
STEP 6. Construction Begins
Within 30 days of the final piece of the puzzle, being either your Finance Approval or Building Approval, your new home’s construction is underway. After the slab goes down, the frame and your roof are built and you can really feel your new home coming to life.
STEP 7. Personalised Service
Stage seven involves continual updates and support from the Ownit Homes team while your home undergoes construction. Your interaction is welcomed as well as valued.
STEP 8. Completion & Handover
Before you know it, you’ll be in the last stage of creating your dream home. Stage Eight is handover time. Finishing touches and rectifications are always sorted with maximum efficiency.
